Candidate will have the following: 3+ years of litigation paralegal experience within a major law firm setting (experience will be current or very recent) ;
Substantial experience with all aspects of the Litigation Department’s caseloads, including organization and maintenance of court materials ;
Experience drafting and filing pleadings, motions, and other court documents ;
Considerable experience with Coordinating depositions, hearings, motions and trial preparations ;
Ability to align with clients to identify, preserve, and collect relevant sources of ESI and paper discovery, as well as, assist with processing, reviewing, and coding ESI ;
Knowledge of and ability to electronically file (CM/ECF and New Jersey e-filing) pleadings required.
Stellar academic credentials:
College degree and/or paralegal certificate required ;
Keen working knowledge of Microsoft (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Relativity, and Concordance required ;
Exposure to iManage a plus ;
Strong research, verbal & written communication skills required.
Excellent work environment, compensation commensurate to experience.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
-Representing a diverse clientele in all aspects of Litigation Department caseloads.
-Coordinating depositions, hearings, motions and trial preparations.
-Organizing and maintaining of court materials.
-Providing support as needed.
-Aligning with clients to identify, preserve, and collect relevant sources of ESI and paper discovery.
-Drafting and filing pleadings, motions, and other court documents.
-Assisting with processing, reviewing, and coding ESI.
-Ensuring adherence to relevant laws and regulations.
-Conducting legal research.
Position Requirements
Bachelor
Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Relativity, and Concordance required ;
Exposure to iManage a plus.
