Job Title: Litigation Associate (Commercial / Civil / Business Disputes)

Location: Hackensack, NJ (Remote)

About the Role:

Our law firm client, a well-established New Jersey law firm, is seeking a Litigation Associate with experience in Commercial Litigation, Civil Litigation, or Business Disputes to join its growing practice. This role offers hands‑on litigation experience, direct client interaction, and meaningful responsibility from day one.

Responsibilities:

• Handle all phases of litigation, from inception through trial and appeal
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests/responses
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda
• Take and defend depositions
• Appear in court for hearings, conferences, and oral arguments
• Manage case strategy and client communications
• Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on complex matters

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of litigation experience in Commercial Litigation, Civil Litigation, or Business Disputes
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
• Experience handling discovery and motion practice independently
• Courtroom experience preferred
• Licensed and in good standing in New Jersey (New York admission is a plus)
• Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast‑paced environment

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $160,000 – $200,000 annually
. Factors which may affect pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
