Salary Range: $85,000 - $91,000 annually
ResponsibilitiesPOSITION SUMMARY:
The Program Director provides strategic and clinical leadership for the Trauma Recovery Center (TRC), ensuring that services are trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and aligned with the National Alliance of Trauma Recovery Centers (NATRC) model. The Director oversees all aspects of clinical programming, support services, supervision, compliance, quality assurance, and community partnerships. This position is responsible for recruiting, training, and orienting new TRC clinical staff to provide assertive outreach, clinical case management, and trauma-informed, evidenced based psychotherapy services to acute survivors of violent crime.
This role ensures that survivors of violence and trauma receive comprehensive, accessible, and evidence-based services designed to promote healing, resilience, and empowerment. The Program Director fosters a culture of safety, trust, empowerment, and collaboration while guiding the program's vision, advancing outcomes, and promoting continuous growth in alignment with CFS' mission.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Leadership
- Lead with the belief that staff are the agency's greatest resource
- Lead with integrity and transparency, promoting a culture of safety, empowerment, collaboration, and respect.
- Partner with other department leaders to co-create and advance the department's mission. Coordinate cross-program initiatives such as staff trainings, team-building activities, and department-wide projects that strengthen collaboration, promote professional growth, and align services with CFS' mission.
- Model trauma-informed and hope-centered leadership practices in daily operations and decision-making.
- Promote collaboration, trust, and open communication across teams and departments.
- Contribute to agency-wide initiatives, task forces, or cross-program projects that align with the mission.
- Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the Trauma Recovery Center to ensure quality, effectiveness, and compliance with evidence-based and promising practices.
- Ensure compliance with all grants, COA standards, and agency policies.
- Guide programs through continuous quality improvement, using data and stakeholder input to inform decision-making and outcomes.
- Oversee recruitment, hiring, training, scheduling, and retention of staff.
- Coordinate outreach efforts and scheduling services to ensure timely access and responsiveness to community needs
- Use data to track program performance, measure success, and guide improvements.
- Support grant development and writing, reporting, and updating program manuals.
- Support implementation of new initiatives or pilot projects as outlined in grant agreements.
- Attend technical assistance sessions, funder meetings, and professional development related to program grants.
- Research and apply evidence-informed implementation strategies to guide program development, adaptation, and continuous improvement.
- Engage in implementation practices to implement and adapt programming.
- Document services and reporting requirements in a timely, accurate manner.
- Conduct regular chart reviews to ensure compliance with agency policies, grant requirements, and regulatory standards.
Staff Development & Supervision
- Lead and actively engage in the hiring process, including recruitment, resume review, interviewing, and selection of qualified candidates.
- Facilitate onboarding processes that equip staff with the knowledge, resources, and support needed for success, while ensuring understanding of expectations outlined in supporting grants.
- Provide regular supervision, coaching, ongoing feedback, to staff as outlined in the organizational chart with an emphasis on professional development, resilience, well-being, and continuous learning.
- Support staff in setting annual professional goals and pursuing development opportunities.
- Coordinate team meetings to promote communication, collaboration, alignment with program goals, case reviews, and self-care practices.
- Provide ongoing training opportunities to support staff growth, skill development, and service quality. Promote staff well-being through burnout prevention strategies and secondary trauma support.
Community Engagement & Partnership
- Serve as an ambassador of Center for Family Services representing the programs to funders, partners, and the public.
- Build collaborative partnerships with social service agencies, schools, coalitions, and funders.
- Facilitate trainings and presentations on topics related to the TRC.
- Actively participate in community coalitions, meetings, and statewide initiatives that advance trauma-informed care.
