Senior Project Manager / Owner’s Representative – Multifamily Development

An established real estate development firm is seeking a Senior Project Manager / Owner’s Representative to lead the delivery of ground‑up mid‑rise multifamily developments in New Jersey. This role is responsible for comprehensive oversight of planning, coordination, and execution of development projects on behalf of ownership.

• Provide leadership and oversight for mid‑rise multifamily projects from pre‑construction through close‑out
• Serve as the owner’s representative in managing relationships with general contractors, architects, engineers, and consultants
• Develop and monitor project budgets, schedules, and phasing plans
• Oversee construction execution with an emphasis on quality, safety, and adherence to specifications
• Apply working knowledge of stick‑built and wood‑frame systems common to mid‑rise multifamily construction
• Review contractor performance, change orders, and schedule impacts
• Ensure compliance with permitting, inspections, and municipal requirements
• Prepare regular reports on project status, risks, and opportunities for senior leadership

• Minimum of 7–12+ years of progressive experience in construction management or owner’s representation
• Demonstrated experience with ground‑up multifamily, mid‑rise developments
• Familiarity with stick‑built/wood‑frame construction and associated sequencing
• Proven ability to manage complex project teams and multiple stakeholders
• Strong financial acumen with budget and schedule management experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with industry standard tools (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project, or equivalent)

• Established record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget
• Ability to operate effectively in a high‑expectation, fast‑paced environment with direct reporting to senior leadership
