Overview

The Vice President of Day Services (NJ) provides strategic, operational, and administrative leadership for all New Jersey Day Programs and Supported Employment Services. This role oversees the Hackensack, Hillsborough, and Union sites, ensuring high‑quality, person‑centered services aligned with DDD requirements and agency standards.

The VP leads program performance, staff development, regulatory compliance, continuous quality improvement, program growth, and community inclusion partnerships. The role requires regular on‑site presence across all locations and close collaboration with executive leadership, families, employers, and community partners.

Responsibilities
  • Recruit, hire, train, and supervise Program Supervisors, Assistant Supervisors, Supported Employment staff, and Direct Support Professionals.
  • Ensure adequate staffing, scheduling, and coverage across all program sites.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and leadership development.
  • Ensure all staff meet state training requirements; serve as College of Direct Support Administrator.
  • Serve as EVV Liaison and Administrator for the agency’s Electronic Health Record (EHR) system; oversee billing, claims submission, and reconciliation.
  • Implement agency policies and procedures and ensure compliance with DDD regulations.
  • Coordinate screening, admissions, and service planning for new individuals.
  • Ensure facilities, vehicles, and program environments meet safety and audit standards.
  • Oversee habilitative programming and meaningful daily activities that promote skill development and community inclusion.
  • Lead continuous quality improvement efforts, including data review, corrective actions, and performance monitoring.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with employers, community organizations, and local stakeholders to expand inclusion and employment opportunities.
  • Develop and manage the annual departmental budget; collaborate with Finance to ensure sustainability.
  • Represent CFS professionally with state agencies, provider associations, and community partners.
  • Maintain positive relationships with families, guardians, employers, vendors, and other providers.
  • Monitor program compliance, satisfaction, and overall service quality.
  • Maintain a strong leadership presence through regular travel to all program sites.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Supervises three or more Program Supervisors and other leadership staff. Responsibilities include hiring, training, assigning work, evaluating performance, and addressing concerns in accordance with agency policies

Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human services or related field, Master's degree preferred.
  • Five (5) years of experience in the field of Developmental Disabilities with, at least, three (3) years of experience in program supervision.
  • Additinoal experience may be considered in lieu of education.
