- Monitor chemical bath composition and concentrations, adjust parameters based on specific plating requirements (e.g., metal type, thickness, finish).
- Conduct quality checks on plated parts using various inspection methods (e.g., thickness gauges, visual inspection) to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Identify and troubleshoot process issues, implement corrective actions, and document findings.
- Technical:
- Understand and interpret plating process parameters and technical drawings.
- Conduct routine maintenance on plating equipment, including cleaning, calibrating, and identifying potential malfunctions.
- Stay updated on new plating technologies and industry best practices.
- Leadership:
- Mentor junior plating technicians on proper procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the plating team on plating issues
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain records of plating processes, including chemical bath logs, plating parameters, and quality inspection results.
- Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety regulations related to hazardous chemicals, proper handling procedures, and personal protective equipment.
- Ensure the plating area is maintained in a clean and organized manner.
