Our client, a highly regarded Am Law firm, is seeking a Business Development Manager to join its New Jersey office. This is an exciting opportunity to partner closely with attorneys and firm leadership to drive strategic growth initiatives, lead high-impact business development efforts, and support a nationally respected legal practice in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute strategic marketing and business development initiatives to support practice group growth and achieve firm objectives.
- Partner directly with attorneys to develop and implement business development plans, identify new opportunities, and strengthen client relationships.
- Manage and prepare high-impact RFPs, pitches, proposals, and client presentations while continually enhancing marketing materials and proposal processes.
- Conduct competitive intelligence, client and industry research, and market analysis to identify trends and support strategic decision-making.
- Track business development activity, maintain experience databases and CRM data, and report on proposal success rates and market insights.
- Coordinate legal directory and ranking submissions while collaborating with internal teams and external PR resources.
- Develop compelling marketing collateral and thought leadership materials that elevate practice group visibility.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 5+ years of marketing or business development experience, preferably within a law firm.
- Proven experience managing proposals, presentations, client development initiatives, and strategic marketing campaigns.
- Exceptional writing, editing, proofreading, organizational, and project management skills.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; experience with CRM platforms and marketing analytics tools is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusted relationships with attorneys, firm leadership, and cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to travel occasionally between office locations.
