The Registered Nurse functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population to achieve desired outcomes. This position expands knowledge and skills, provides direct care, and directs the care of other caregivers through delegation, validation, evaluation, and coordination. Discrete responsibilities include clinical assessment, documentation, medication administration, care coordination, patient and family education, and professional compliance with policies and regulations.

• Perform comprehensive assessment and data collection for patient condition.
• Recognize changes in clinical status and initiate appropriate interventions.
• Develop and document a patient‑centered plan of care and coordinate it with the healthcare team.
• Communicate ongoing status and plan to patient, family, and multidisciplinary colleagues.
• Implement and document nursing interventions in real time, including point‑of‑care electronic records.
• Administer medications using bar‑scanning technology to ensure safe delivery.
• Assist with discharge planning to ensure safe transition of care.
• Adhere to American Nurses Association Code, HMH competencies, and safety standards.
• Meet physical requirements: lift ≥35 lbs., push/pull ≥10 lbs., stand ≥6 hours per shift.
• Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.

• Associate’s or diploma in Nursing (BSN preferred, progressive within 3 years).
• Current, active RN license for the assigned HMH location.
• BLS/CPR certification within 60 days of hire.
• Minimum 6 months of relevant nursing experience or active participation in the HMH Nurse Residency Program.
• Strong teamwork, accountability, and a patient‑focused approach.
• National certification in the area of specialty preferred when eligible.

Minimum rate: $47.64 hourly. Compensation is benchmarked against market data and may vary by experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Shift differentials may apply for night, evening, or weekend duties.
