— Full Time | Evening Shift

Pay rate up to $34.50/hour

Licensed Practical Nurse in Assisted Living
for The Shores
, our Senior Care Community located in Ocean City, NJ within picturesque Cape May County.

Qualifications
  • Current New Jersey State Nursing License.
  • Some nursing experience in a related field preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with medication and treatment administration.
  • Notify physicians and/or responsible party of any change in resident's health and provide proper documentation.
  • Assist residents, analyze obtained information, record signs of change in condition, and notify appropriate staff per facility protocol. Observe conditions and notify appropriate staff per UMC policy and procedure of the need for evaluation. Inform the physician of changes in assessment when appropriate.
  • Monitor certified nursing/medication assistants.
  • Accurately and promptly transcribe orders (MAR/TAR) into EMR. Provide nursing care according to physician's orders and in conformance with recognized nursing techniques and procedures, established standards, and policies.
  • Recognize and interpret symptoms and report resident's condition.
  • Assist in the monitoring of the resident service plans and record information.
  • Complete assessment/reassessment and the service plan in conjunction with residents' family, personal care assistants/medication aides, and other necessary individuals.
  • Assist in the coordination of move-in and orient new residents to the facility. Assist in the coordination of move-outs and coordinate with staff of alternative settings.
  • Chart nurses' notes in an informative and descriptive manner.
  • Complete accident/incident reports as necessary per policies and procedures.
  • Counts for all narcotics at the beginning and end of each shift, sign for count, and exchange keys to medication carts and the medication room at the end of shift.
