Position: House Supervisor (RN) - Belle Mead NJ

House Supervisor (RN) – Belle Mead, NJ

Role: House Supervisor (RN) – Part‑time nights (32 hrs/week). Works every other weekend, on‑call required, and 4 of 6 major holidays.
Shift pattern rotates:

  • Week 1:
    Sun 7:45 p‑m, Thurs 11:45 p‑m, Fri 11:45 p‑m
  • Week 2:
    Tue 11:45 p‑m, Wed 11:45 p‑m, Sat 7:45 p‑m

Salary: Minimum rate of $65/hour. Annual compensation $135,000–140,000, plus potential increase based on experience.

High‑Level Overview: This is the on‑site leadership role for nights, weekends, and holidays when senior leadership isn’t present. You’re responsible for hospital operations after hours: staffing, bed flow, safety, and responding to any emergencies or escalations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all nursing and ancillary departments overnight
  • Manage staffing levels, bed assignments, and patient flow
  • Round across all units
  • Respond to all codes and rapid responses
  • Lead Incident Command during emergencies
  • Ensure compliance with EMTALA, Joint Commission, and State DOH
  • Support discharges and transfers
  • Handle escalations, unusual occurrences, and complaints
  • Provide leadership coaching and participate in performance evaluations
  • Support onboarding, education, and quality improvement

Requirements:

  • NJ RN license (required)
  • Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing minimum
  • BSN in progress or willing to pursue within 3 years
  • 4+ years of recent clinical experience
  • Strong clinical skills and independent decision‑making
  • Excellent communication and computer skills

Preferred: Experience in case management, utilization review, or discharge planning.

Candidate Fit: This role is best for an experienced RN comfortable overseeing the full hospital during off‑hours — someone confident in clinical judgment, calm under pressure, and able to manage both operations and emergencies.
