The Registered Nurse functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population and provides direct and delegated care to complex patients, coordinating care across the interdisciplinary team.

• Assessment, Planning, Implementation, and Evaluation (APIC) of patient care.
• Collect comprehensive data and perform age‑and disease‑specific assessment independently.
• Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes and initiate appropriate interventions.
• Develop and coordinate patient‑ and family‑centered goals and care plans.
• Communicate with patients, families, nursing colleagues, and other healthcare team members regarding status and treatment plans.
• Document point‑of‑care assessments, interventions, and evaluations in electronic health records continuously.
• Administer medications using bar‑scanning and other safe delivery technologies.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary discharge planning and ensure safe transitions of care.
• Evaluate progress toward outcomes and adjust care plans accordingly.
• Identify ethical issues and address them with the team.
• Maintain competencies, certifications, and continuing education required for practice at the facility.
• Lift a minimum of 35 lbs., push and pull a minimum of 10 lbs., and stand for at least 6 hours a day.
• Adhere to American Nurses Association Code and HMH organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

• Minimum of an Associate’s or Diploma in Nursing.
• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire.
• Current and valid Registered Nurse license for the assigned HMH location.
• Minimum of six (6) months of relevant nursing experience or active participation in HMH Nurse Residency Program.
• Valid BLS/CPR certification within 60 days of hire.
• Strong ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing patient needs, and demonstrate a commitment to teamwork and ongoing education.
• National certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible.

Minimum hourly rate: $47.64. The posted rate is a good‑faith estimate and does not reflect the full value of the market‑competitive total rewards package.
