Registered Nurse (RN) - Interventional Radiology (IR)
Location - Hackensack, NJ
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Interventional Radiology CWR
Schedule: 4x10-Hour Shifts (7:30 AM - 6:00 PM)
Position Summary
The Interventional Radiology (IR) Registered Nurse delivers patient-centered nursing care grounded in the most current evidence-based practices and standards. This role ensures the safe and effective delivery of care for patients undergoing minimally invasive procedures across IR, CT, and Ultrasound settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care in the IR setting
- Assist with IR procedures performed in:
- Interventional Radiology
- CT Scan
- Ultrasound
- Administer medications using bar-scanning and electronic documentation systems
- Perform continuous patient monitoring, including:
- Titration of drips
- Management of ventilated patients
- Conscious sedation monitoring
- Maintain real-time electronic documentation of:
- Assessments
- Plan of care
- Interventions
- Evaluation of care
- Communicate patient status and care plans with multidisciplinary teams
- Provide patient and family-centered education
- Coordinate safe discharge planning and care transitions
- ASN required (BSN preferred)
- Minimum 6 months of relevant nursing experience
- 2-3 years Interventional Radiology experience required
- Acute care experience
- Experience titrating drips
- Experience managing ventilated patients
- Conscious sedation experience
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS (AHA)
- PALS (AHA)
- Active NJ State RN License or Multi-State Compact License
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient conditions
- Strong accountability and patient advocacy
- Team-focused approach
- Commitment to ongoing education and professional development
- High level of patient-centered care delivery
