Experience:

Must have Cath Lab experience.
License: NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.

Certifications:

BLS-AHA, ACLS-AHA, Telemetry.
Must-Have:
Critical care experience highly preferred. Prior experience with EPIC and Sensis highly preferred.

Description:

The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care.
Plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on patients' needs.
Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
Develops, implements, and coordinates an individualized plan of care for patients assigned through initial and ongoing assessments.
Initiates assessment based on the patient’s problems or needs, the physician’s medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework.
Performs therapeutic nursing interventions.
Manages care of patients.
Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities.
Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports the adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery.
Provides patient-centered care in alignment with the professional nursing practice model.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Minimal coverage would include supporting cardiac procedures off hours and on weekends.
On call would be required and may include coverage every five weeks depending on staffing demands.
Must be able to function as an intra-procedural RN responsible for documentation, administration of medications, and circulation of minimally invasive procedures such as LHC and PCI.

Experience with equipment such as IABP, Impella, shockwave, and other various atherectomy devices is preferred.
Preferred experience includes vascular and/or neuro diagnostic and interventions.
