The Registered Nurse functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population, focusing on expanding knowledge and skills while providing effective direct care as part of an interdisciplinary team. This role is ideal for individuals who are dedicated to improving patient outcomes and coordinating care among various healthcare professionals.

• Location: Hackensack, NJ
• Facility: Hackensack Meridian Health
• Schedule: Full-time, Day shift

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
• Perform age and disease specific assessment/data collection independently.
• Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
• Identify variables in patient/family education needs based on age and disease.
• Develop a plan of care that prescribes strategies and interventions.
• Communicate, coordinate, and implement the plan of care.
• Provide ongoing communication with patient/family and healthcare team.
• Implement age and disease specific care in an organized manner.
• Perform continuous Point-of-Care electronic documentation.
• Administer medications utilizing advancements in bar-scanning technologies.

• Associate in Nursing or diploma of Nursing degree required; BSN in progress or willingness to acquire within three years of hire.

• Six months of relevant nursing experience or participation in Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program.

• Current and valid Registered Nurse license in New Jersey.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association required within 60 days of hire.
