About This Role
The Registered Nurse Float - Rapid Response Team position is ideal for individuals who are dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and are skilled in coordinating care among interdisciplinary teams. This part-time role focuses on delivering effective direct care to a variety of complex patients during night shifts.
Highlights- Location: Hackensack, NJ
- Facility: Hackensack Meridian Health
- Schedule: Part-time, Night shift
- Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
- Perform age and disease-specific assessments independently.
- Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
- Identify patient/family education needs based on age and disease.
- Develop and coordinate a patient/family-focused plan of care.
- Communicate, coordinate, and implement the plan of care.
- Provide ongoing communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Administer medications utilizing advancements in bar-scanning technology.
- Evaluate progress toward attainment of patient outcomes.
- Adhere to established protocols and document events accurately.
Education: Associate in Nursing or diploma of Nursing degree required; BSN in progress or willingness to acquire within three years preferred.
Experience: Six (6) months of relevant nursing experience or participation in Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program.
Licenses &
Certifications:
- Current and valid Registered Nurse license in New Jersey.
- BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association required within 60 days of hire.
