Registered Nurse - Pavilion Critical Care - Nights

About This Role

The Registered Nurse functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population to achieve desired outcomes. This role is ideal for individuals who are dedicated to providing effective direct care and coordinating patient care activities as part of an interdisciplinary team.

• Location: Hackensack, NJ
• Facility: Hackensack Meridian Health
• Schedule: Full‑time, Night shift

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
• Perform age and disease‑specific assessments independently.
• Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
• Identify patient/family education needs based on age and disease.
• Develop a plan of care with strategies and interventions to attain expected outcomes.
• Communicate, coordinate, and implement the plan of care.
• Provide ongoing communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Implement age and disease‑specific care in an organized manner.
• Administer medications utilizing advancements in bar‑scanning technology.
• Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes.

• Education: Associate in Nursing or diploma of Nursing degree required; BSN in progress or willingness to acquire within three years of hire.
• Experience: Six months of relevant nursing experience or participation in Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program.

  Current and valid Registered Nurse license in New Jersey required by date of hire.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association required within 60 days of hire.
• National Certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible.
