The Registered Nurse in the Center for Ambulatory Surgery focuses on providing effective direct care to a variety of complex patients, while coordinating care among nursing peers, physicians, and support services. This role is ideal for those who are dedicated to improving patient outcomes and have a strong sense of teamwork.

• Location: Hackensack, NJ
• Facility: Hackensack Meridian Health
• Schedule: Per Diem

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation.
• Perform age and disease-specific assessments independently.
• Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
• Identify patient/family education needs based on age and disease.
• Develop and coordinate a patient/family-focused plan of care.
• Communicate and implement the plan of care effectively.
• Provide ongoing communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Administer medications utilizing advancements in bar-scanning technology.
• Evaluate progress toward attainment of patient outcomes.
• Adhere to the American Nurses Association Code for Nurses.

• Education: Associate in Nursing or diploma of Nursing degree required; BSN in progress or willingness to acquire within three years of hire.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience required.

  Current and valid Registered Nurse license in New Jersey required by date of hire. BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association required within 60 days of hire. National Certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible.
