The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Trauma Department provides direct care to a variety of complex patients, focusing on achieving desired outcomes through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. • Location: Hackensack, NJ
• Facility: Hackensack Meridian Health
• Schedule: Per Diem, Day shift

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
• Perform age and disease-specific assessments independently.
• Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
• Develop a plan of care that prescribes strategies and interventions.
• Communicate, coordinate, and implement the plan of care.
• Provide ongoing communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Administer medications utilizing advancements in bar-scanning technologies.
• Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes.
• Initiate interventions related to patient's change in condition.
• Adhere to American Nurses Association Code for Nurses.

• Education: Associate in Nursing or diploma of Nursing degree required; BSN in progress or willingness to acquire within three years preferred.
• Experience: Six months of relevant nursing experience or participation in Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program.
