About This Role

Full-time, Day shift
- Serve as a patient safety advocate and clinical role model in Obstetrics.
- Keep abreast of changing national standards of clinical practice and safety.
- Disseminate pertinent specialty-related information.
- Assist in creating and maintaining quality through new initiatives and quality improvement projects.
- Participate in and coordinate safety and quality-related activities and programs.
- Monitor clinical outcomes by encouraging team members to report adverse events and near misses.
- Contribute to Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) review.
- Collaborate with appropriate departments and OB team for briefings and debriefings.
- Facilitate interdisciplinary communication and education through simulation programs.
- Develop, review, and revise policies related to the Obstetrical/Maternity Patient Population.
- Master's degree in Nursing required
- Minimum of 3 years of acute care nursing in obstetrics required
- Minimum of 1 year as an instructor preferred
- Current valid NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred
