• Serve as a patient safety advocate and clinical role model in Obstetrics.
• Keep abreast of changing national standards of clinical practice and safety.
• Disseminate pertinent specialty-related information.
• Assist in creating and maintaining quality through new initiatives and quality improvement projects.
• Participate in and coordinate safety and quality-related activities and programs.
• Monitor clinical outcomes by encouraging team members to report adverse events and near misses.
• Contribute to Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) review.
• Collaborate with appropriate departments and OB team for briefings and debriefings.
• Facilitate interdisciplinary communication and education through simulation programs.
• Develop, review, and revise policies related to the Obstetrical/Maternity Patient Population.

• Master's degree in Nursing required

• Minimum of 3 years of acute care nursing in obstetrics required
• Minimum of 1 year as an instructor preferred

• Current valid NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred
