About This Role
The Registered Nurse in the Pediatric ICU provides direct care to complex patients, focusing on achieving desired health outcomes. This role is ideal for those who thrive in a collaborative environment and are dedicated to patient-centered care.
Highlights- Location: Hackensack, NJ
- Facility: Hackensack Meridian Health
- Schedule: Part-time, Night shift
- Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health.
- Perform age and disease specific assessments independently.
- Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patients.
- Develop and coordinate patient-centered plans of care.
- Communicate and implement the plan of care effectively.
- Provide ongoing communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Administer medications using advanced bar-scanning technologies.
- Evaluate progress toward attainment of patient outcomes.
- Identify ethical issues in the practice setting.
- Adhere to the American Nurses Association Code for Nurses.
- Associate in Nursing or diploma of Nursing degree required
- BSN in progress or willingness to acquire within three years of hire
- Six months of relevant nursing experience or participation in Nurse Residency Program
- Current and valid Registered Nurse license in New Jersey
- BLS/CPR certification required within 60 days of hire
- National Certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible
