About This Role

The Registered Nurse in the Pediatric Emergency Department provides direct care to a specific patient population, focusing on achieving desired health outcomes. This role is ideal for individuals who are dedicated to teamwork and continuous learning in a fast‑paced environment.

• Location: Hackensack, NJ
• Facility: Hackensack Meridian Health
• Schedule: Part‑time, Evening shift

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health.
• Perform age and disease‑specific assessments independently.
• Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patients.
• Develop and coordinate patient‑centered plans of care.
• Communicate and implement the plan of care effectively.
• Provide ongoing communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Administer medications utilizing advanced bar‑scanning technologies.
• Evaluate progress toward attainment of patient outcomes.
• Initiate interventions related to changes in patient conditions.
• Adhere to the American Nurses Association Code for Nurses.

Education:

• NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License required
• BSN in progress or willingness to acquire within three years of hire

Experience:

• Six months of relevant nursing experience or participation in Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program

Licenses &

Certifications:

• BLS/CPR certification by the American Heart Association required within 60 days of hire
