• Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care and goals.
• Manage day-to-day operations and ensure team members are knowledgeable in emergency/disaster response.
• Monitor nursing standards of practice and ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.
• Develop, plan, evaluate, and monitor budgetary and financial priorities for patient care.
• Promote cost-effective use of organizational resources and manage staffing plans.
• Demonstrate leadership by establishing supportive partnerships in care and mentoring team members.
• Supervise and evaluate educational programs and evidence-based practice.
• Support the Magnet Program by ensuring participation in shared governance and data collection.
• Prioritize organizational goals and lead committee work with performance improvement goals.
• Professionally review complaints and follow up with appropriate departments.

Education:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required

Experience:

• 3+ years' experience as a Registered Nurse
• Previous leadership experience preferred
• 3+ years' progressive leadership experience preferred

Licenses &

Certifications:

• NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License required
• AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification required
• National Certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible
