Travel Nurse Source  is working with Prime Staffing to find a qualified Cath Lab RN in Hackensack, New Jersey, 07601!
:  Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM 5x8. No Weekends, No holidays, No on-call. Critical care exp.

Job Summary:

The Cath Lab Manager is a designated leader and is accountable for the effective and efficient running of the Cath Lab which includes: EP, Neuro, Vascular and Cardiac DAR. This position assumes responsibility and accountability for efficiency including patient throughput, staff performance and all components affective cath lab flow and capacity. The Cath Lab Manager is responsible for Cath Lab utilization, first case starts, room turnover, patient safety, policy and procedure adherence, quality and performance improvement measures and risk management.

• Develops schedules and daily team member assignments and responsibilities.
• Collaborates with Cardiac Cath Supervisor and Lead Tech in the daily operations of the catheterization lab.
• Supervises efficient patient flow from CDAR, Cardiac Cath Lab recovery room and cardiac catheterizations patient procedural areas.
• Effectively and efficiently identifies shift problems; investigates and responds appropriately to all situations.
• Develop and maintain processes to support Cath Lab utilization.
• To improve the efficiency of procedural process and patient flow.
• Monitors Standards of Practice to ensure compliance with codes of internal and external regulatory and accrediting agencies including: a. Joint Commission b. NJS and Federal Codes (ie DOH, OSHA) c. Other Regulatory Agencies
• Ensures Adherence to legal requirements related to: a. Risk Management b. Patient Bill of Rights c. Other Regulatory Agencies
• Creates and monitors unit based indicators as mandated or as necessary, integrating functions of standards development, continuing education, credentialing, performance appraisal, concurrent monitoring, utilization review, risk management, and active problem identification.
• Provides for the execution of outcomes based practice and directs staff in its application.

• 5 years of experience in cardiac catheterization laboratory.
• 10 years of experience in clinical cardiology.
• Moderate computer skills.
• Strong Leadership skills.

Regular contact with Medical Center personnel, patients and visitors.

• Lifts a minimum of 5 lbs., pushes and pulls a minimum of 10 lbs. and stands a minimum of 4 hours a day.
• Knowledge of team making management practices.
• Knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and techniques.
• Knowledge of supervisory practices and principles.
• Knowledge of state and agency laws and regulations governing general professional nursing practices.
• Skill in both verbal and written communication.

8:00 am - 4:30 pm. 5x8. No Weekends, No holidays, No on-call.

Critical care experience, clinical cardiology, interventional radiology, perioperative or closely-related field for at least 3 years. Current endovascular/cardiac catheterization experience required or an equivalent combination of relevant education or experience.

• Minimum of Bachelors degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program. Masters preferred.
• 1. NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License.
• 2. AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.
• 3. AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification.
