Registered Nurse - Link West - Med​/Surg Telemetry - Nights

About This Role

The Registered Nurse functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population to achieve desired outcomes. This role is ideal for individuals who are dedicated to providing effective direct care as part of an interdisciplinary team.

• Location: Hackensack, NJ
• Facility: Hackensack Meridian Health
• Schedule: Part-time, Night shift

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
• Perform age and disease specific assessments independently.
• Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
• Identify patient/family education needs based on age and disease.
• Develop and coordinate a patient/family focused plan of care.
• Communicate and implement the plan of care effectively.
• Provide ongoing communication with patients, families, and healthcare team.
• Administer medications utilizing advancements in bar-scanning technology.
• Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes.
• Adhere to American Nurses Association Code for Nurses.

Education:

• Associate in Nursing or diploma of Nursing degree required.
• BSN in progress or willingness to acquire within three (3) years of hire.

Experience:

• Six (6) months of relevant nursing experience OR participation in Nurse Residency Program.

Licenses &

Certifications:

• Current and valid Registered Nurse license in New Jersey.
• BLS/CPR certification required within 60 days of hire.
• National Certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible.
