The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) is a professional, registered nurse who supports the execution of the nursing strategic plan and priorities. This role is ideal for skilled communicators and leaders who are dedicated to improving patient care and fostering a collaborative work environment.

• Pay: $133,120/year
• Location: Hackensack, NJ
• Facility: Hackensack Meridian Health
• Schedule: Full-time, Day shift

• Participate in recruitment and retention strategies.
• Assist with unit huddles and leader rounding with employees.
• Participate in unit goal creation reflective of hospital goals.
• Lead or participate in evidence-based practice projects or research.
• Resolve conflicts and facilitate constructive resolutions.
• Complete employee corrective action plans/counseling as necessary.
• Prepare and conduct periodic performance evaluations for staff.
• Monitor unit orientation processes for all roles as necessary.
• Optimize the patient and family experience of care.
• Lead or conduct root cause analysis investigations.

• Associate in Nursing or diploma of Nursing degree required; BSN in progress or willing to acquire within three years of hire.

• Minimum 3 years recent nursing experience in respective specialty or equivalent.

• NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License required.
• AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification required.
• National Certification acceptable to the Magnet Recognition Program preferred.
