Registered Nurse - Women's Med-Surg

The Registered Nurse functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population, focusing on achieving desired outcomes through effective direct care as part of an interdisciplinary team. • Pay: $48 - $48/hour
• Location: Hackensack, NJ
• Facility: Hackensack Meridian Health
• Schedule: Part-time, Day shift

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
• Perform age and disease specific assessments independently.
• Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
• Develop a plan of care that prescribes strategies and interventions.
• Communicate, coordinate, and implement the plan of care.
• Provide ongoing communication with patient/family and healthcare team.
• Administer medications utilizing advancements in bar-scanning technology.
• Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes.
• Identify ethical issues in the practice setting and address them.
• Adhere to HMH's Organizational and Managerial competencies and standards.

• Associate in Nursing or diploma of Nursing degree required; BSN in progress preferred.

• 6+ months of relevant nursing experience or participation in Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program.

• Current RN License in New Jersey required by date of hire.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association required within 60 days of hire.
• National Certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible.
