Registered Nurse - Emergency Department - Evenings

The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department provides direct care to a diverse patient population, focusing on achieving desired health outcomes. This role is ideal for individuals who are dedicated to teamwork and continuous improvement in patient care.

• Pay: $48/hour
• Location: Hackensack, NJ
• Facility: Hackensack Meridian Health
• Department/Unit: Emergency Department
• Schedule: Full-time, Evening shift

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health.
• Perform age and disease specific assessments independently.
• Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patients.
• Develop and coordinate patient-centered plans of care.
• Communicate and implement the plan of care effectively.
• Provide ongoing communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Administer medications utilizing advanced bar-scanning technologies.
• Evaluate progress toward attainment of patient outcomes.
• Initiate interventions related to changes in patient condition.
• Adhere to the American Nurses Association Code for Nurses.

Education:

• Associate in Nursing or diploma of Nursing degree required
• BSN in progress or willingness to acquire within three years of hire

Experience:

• 6+ months of relevant nursing experience or participation in Nurse Residency Program

Licenses &

Certifications:

• Current RN License in New Jersey
• BLS/CPR certification required within 60 days of hire
• National Certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible
