Summary
The Cash Office Associate is responsible for managing daily cash and financial procedures for a retail store. This role ensures accurate cash handling, prepares deposits, reconciles registers, and maintains secure recordkeeping. The associate works closely with store management to support loss prevention and financial controls.
Responsibilities- Count, reconcile, and prepare daily cash and bank deposits.
- Reconcile POS transactions and investigate cash variances.
- Maintain secure storage and handling of cash, checks, and gift cards.
- Prepare and maintain accurate cash office records and reports.
- Collaborate with store leadership to resolve discrepancies and support loss prevention.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous cash handling or retail cash office experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow established cash handling procedures.
