Responsibilities- Be the Customer Champion
:
Own and nurture customer relationships in a team-based selling model. Educate customers on ordering platforms, provide menu consultations, product recommendations, and pricing strategies to help customers succeed. - Drive Sales Success
:
Sell to customers, increase case growth, and acquire new business. Deliver impactful sales presentations and tailor your approach to individual customers. Manage time and territory effectively. - Team Based Selling
:
Collaborate with Specialists to pursue top penetration opportunities and new accounts. Coordinate with marketing, supply chain, and customer service to ensure seamless delivery. - Lead with Insight
:
Develop new business by identifying prospective customers using market intelligence databases, business directories, leads from existing clients, and industry events. - Delivery Resolution
:
Manage deliveries according to routing schedules; troubleshoot issues during order processing (e.g., mis-picks, load shortages, stock-outs). - Competitive Advantage
:
Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitors; share insights with customers as part of value-added services. - Stay on the Move
:
Travel as needed in your assigned territory for check-ins, site visits, and follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction.
Supervision: No direct reports.
Work Environment: Daily field work in your territory, visiting customers in varying weather and temperature conditions.
Minimum Qualifications- 1+ year of sales experience preferred.
- HS Diploma or equivalent.
- A valid driver’s license and a motor vehicle record in good standing.
- Food service industry/culinary/restaurant management/hospitality experience preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation abilities.
- Ability to build internal and external relationships and cold call to develop new business.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Competitive spirit with a drive to exceed goals.
- Problem solving, organization, and negotiation skills.
- Team-oriented mentality to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Tech-savviness – proficiency in Microsoft Office; CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) a plus.
- Ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 75 lbs.

Compensation depends on experience, education, skills, location, and other factors as applicable by law. The initial base range is estimated between $55,000 - $95,000.
