Security Guard at Johnson Public Library, Hackensack
Responsibilities- Patrols the grounds and other areas and facilities of the library.
- Enforces the Behavior Rules and other policies for the library users.
- Guards and protects the library against fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal or unauthorized entry; does other related duties as required.
- Not an armed position.
- Police are called for any person’s detention or forced expulsion.
- Also serves as back up to maintenance staff.
- Moderately strenuous tasks involved in cleaning and maintaining the building, equipment and grounds.
- Other duties as assigned.
Monday to Thursday 1-9, alternating Fridays/Saturdays, 8 to 5 with some flexibility to cover vacations of other staff. Must be available by phone for building emergencies.
Requirements- Background check, NJ Driver’s license.
- Ideal candidate should have had training in dealing effectively with aggressive behavior.
Salary: starting at 53k annually with an excellent benefits package
