The Borough of Red Bank is seeking a motivated and reliable full time Public Utilities
Worker (Laborer) to join the Department of Public Utilities team. Under the supervision of the Department Foreman, this position involves performing a wide range of manual labor tasks, including using power tools, and handling various equipment related to public works projects. The successful candidate will be an integral part of maintaining public spaces, assisting with infrastructure projects, and contributing to the overall upkeep of the Borough.

Salary Range: $22.08 – $32.75 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. A complete job specification is attached.

Work takes place indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions, requiring physical labor and the safe operation of equipment.

• Perform manual labor tasks, including but not limited to lifting, carrying, and transporting materials.
• Operate light and heavy equipment, including trucks and snowplows.
• Maintenance of streets, parks, public buildings, and other properties.
• Perform street repairs, asphalt patching, snow removal, leaf collection, and storm drain cleaning.
• Maintain work areas in a clean and safe condition.
• Cleans up underbrush, foliage, vines, and weeds.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisors.

• Graduation from high school, vocational high school, or possession of an approved High School Equivalency Certificate.
• Possess a driver's licence valid in New Jersey.
• Valid New Jersey Commercial Driver's Licence (CDL) Class B licence with an Air Brake endorsement preferred and required within one year of hire.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, snow, and humidity.

• One (1) year of experience in construction, maintenance, and/or repair of streets, sewer, water, sanitation, or other public works facilities or similar heavy construction or maintenance work preferred.
