CT Scan Technologist Per Diem Hackettstown

Job Description

Responsible for producing cross-section images of patients' internal organ tissues for diagnosis of medical issues. Interprets a physician's scanning instructions, administers contrast materials, prepares and operates the CT scan equipment, and positions the patient to capture the appropriate images.

• Interprets CT protocols and correctly positions the patient for the exam.
• Operates CT scanner equipment in accordance with prescribed radiation standards (ALARA).
• Evaluates CT scans for technical quality.
• Utilizes EPIC, Radiant, and PACS to schedule and transmit images to the radiologist for interpretation.
• Prepares and administers contrast material using the power injector.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Accredited educational program related to the radiology field and registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Associate's degree in Applied Science in Diagnostic Radiology.
• Licensed by the State in Diagnostic Technology.

• CT certification preferred.
