If you’re not yet certified, we’ll support you through our ABA Academy of Excellence to help you prepare for and pass the RBT exam, required by the BACB.

• Direct client support.
• Deliver ABA therapy in homes, schools, communities, or clinics.
• Teach communication, social, and daily living skills.
• Implement individualized treatment plans under BCBA supervision.
• Track progress and maintain quality.
• Collect, organize, and document session data accurately.
• Work closely with BCBAs, team members, and families.
• Participate in team meetings and ongoing training.

Autism Therapist – BT / RBT (Full-Time)

ABA Centers of New Jersey – Hackettstown, NJ

Starting rate of $22.25/hour for BTs. Starting rate of $24.60/hour for RBTs.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6+ months of relevant experience (including internships or related roles).
• Availability during afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license and insurance.
• Ability to pass background checks, drug screening, and driving record review.
• NJ candidates must be at least 21 years of age and have a minimum of 1 year of experience working with children, in healthcare, or in a related field.

• Behavior Technician (BT):
  Complete a 40‑hour paid training program over 2 consecutive weeks, followed by precepting and pass the RBT exam within 45 days.
• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT):
  Active certification in good standing; 1 week of paid training followed by precepting.
• Training availability (BT / RBT):
  Must be available Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

• Experience in childcare, education, or related fields.
• Experience working with children or adolescents.
• Prior exposure to ABA services.

• Career Advancement – Level Up Program.
• Structured growth to RBT Level 2 and Level 3 (increasing pay by $1/hr per level upon competency completion).
• Apprenticeship program: training and supervision hours provided.
