Team member is responsible for working with patients, providers and other members of the healthcare team to prepare patients for various procedures.
Principal Accountabilities- Utilizes comprehensive nursing assessment skills appropriate for proposed surgery, age and current health status.
- Maintains accurate, complete health care records and reports in the EHR.
- Possess exceptional communication skills.
- Assess and reports pre procedure testing results and (post operative status to providers) communicates to providers in a timely fashion.
- Provides education to incoming patients regarding procedure readiness (and recovery) based on Standards of Care and best practice.
- Facilitates collaboration between proceduralist, anesthesia provider and other health care team members.
- Demonstrates ability to multi-task, prioritize and problem solve.
