Medical Technologist & Lab Technician
JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsible for preparing and rendering radiopharmaceuticals in diagnostic and therapeutic studies, utilizing a variety of equipment while following prescribed procedures.
Principal AccountabilitiesRequired:
- HS Diploma or equivalent experience.
- Graduate of AMA approved school of Nuclear Medicine required.
- Employment history of working in an office‑based setting is preferred; LEAD – specific certification related to position or associate degree/technical degree in related field. All licenses and certifications needed to fulfill the duties required of a Technician at the state(s) and/or national level. Top expert and functional mentor; possesses the most advanced knowledge of the function/family and department. Makes decisions regarding daily priorities for a work group;
provides guidance to and/or assists staff on non‑routine or escalated issues. Collaborates with Management in the development and validation of methods, techniques, and analytical approach. Serves as a model/mentor for team members on technical skills. - Current license with the NJDEP in nuclear medicine.
- Registration or certification by ARRT, NMTCB, or CAMRT.
