Job Summary
Quality Assurance Associate (Junior Level) — Hackettstown, NJ — Pay: $18.00 per hour. The Quality Assurance Associate (Junior Level) supports manufacturing quality operations by ensuring compliance with internal quality standards, regulatory requirements, and established production procedures. This role is responsible for inspecting processes and outputs, documenting quality data, and assisting in identifying and reporting deviations or defects. The position operates with moderate supervision and is suited for individuals with foundational QA knowledge gained through training or prior work experience.
The role contributes to maintaining product quality, consistency, and consumer safety within a manufacturing environment.
- Perform inspections of manufacturing processes, materials, and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Document inspection results, quality checks, and process deviations accurately and consistently
- Identify and report defects, nonconformances, and manufacturing process issues
- Support investigation and troubleshooting of quality-related concerns
- Assist in monitoring production activities to ensure adherence to internal and regulatory requirements
- Maintain accurate quality records and documentation for audits and reporting
- Support implementation of quality measurement systems and continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with manufacturing and production teams to address quality issues
- Provide support to more senior QA staff as needed
- Working knowledge of quality assurance principles gained through training or work experience
- Ability to follow established procedures with moderate supervision
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking skills
- Ability to identify issues in straightforward situations and apply standard procedures to resolve them
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a manufacturing or production environment
- Basic understanding of quality documentation and reporting processes
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate or bachelor's degree in Quality, Science, Engineering, or related field preferred
- Prior experience in quality assurance, manufacturing, or production environment preferred
