Responsibilities
- Inspect, test, and troubleshoot fire sprinkler systems, standpipe systems, fire pumps, and clean agent systems at various industrial, commercial, and institutional facilities in accordance with NFPA, local, and state codes.
- Inspect fire alarm systems and portable fire extinguishers.
- Generate reports based on inspection findings.
- Minimum 3-5 years experience with fire sprinkler system inspection, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge in fire pump testing, repair, and inspection.
- Knowledge of all types of sprinkler systems (wet, dry, deluge, pre‑action systems, fire pumps).
- Plan reading and interpretation a plus.
- Valid New Jersey Driver's license.
- Knowledge of NFPA standards a plus.
- Electrical knowledge with fire alarm panels a plus.
- Current NICET certification in fire sprinkler subfield a plus.
- Good written and verbal skills; computer knowledge.
- Ability to work on ladders/lifts, in crawl spaces and attics, lift >75 lbs.
- NJ State Fire License a plus.
- Travel and independent work with customers as required.
