Main Responsibilities of the Payroll Specialist:
- Manage and process biweekly payroll for around 500 employees (hourly, salary, certified, and non-certified)
- The Payroll Specialist will use Excel to run reports, analyze payroll data, and process information exported from the accounting system
- The Payroll Specialist must ensure high accuracy in payroll processing, including attention to detail with taxes and quarterly filings
- Provide support to employees by responding to payroll-related questions and resolving pay issues
Preferred Qualifications of the Payroll Specialist:
- Experience with full-cycle payroll processing
- Public sector payroll experience is a huge plus!
- The Payroll Specialist must have strong attention to detail and great analytical skills
