The Professional Land Surveyor will be responsible for managing all aspects of land surveying projects throughout New York and New Jersey. The successful candidate will oversee field crews, prepare and certify survey deliverables, ensure compliance with applicable state regulations, and support business development efforts. This individual will serve as the Survey Manager and technical lead while collaborating closely with engineers, project managers, construction managers, and clients.
Whoyou are:
- Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in New York and/or New Jersey.
Ability to obtain reciprocal licensure in the neighboring state if not currently licensed in both. - Bachelor's or Associate degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 6+ years of progressive land surveying experience.
- Minimum 2+ years of project management experience.
- Strong understanding of boundary law, land records research, and survey computations.
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Valid driver's license with ability to travel throughout New York and New Jersey.
- Licensure in both New York and New Jersey.
- Experience with transportation, highway, bridge, utility, and infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with DOT, Port Authority, municipal, and public agency surveying requirements.
- Experience working on construction staking and construction support services.
- FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification (preferred but not required).
- Experience with terrestrial laser scanning and mobile LiDAR technologies.
