Responsibilities
  • Delivery of nursing practices according to evidence‑based research, nursing policies, and standards of care to provide safe and individualized patient‑centred care with a diverse patient population.
  • Ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues and other members of the health care team regarding patients’ status, rendered care and treatment plans.
  • Responsible for optimal patient/guest satisfaction and care experience according to Hackensack Meridian Health standards.
  • Medication administration utilizing the latest clinical documentation technology designed to ensure the safest delivery of medications to our patients.
  • Patient and family centred care aimed at optimizing health, wellness and disease management.
  • Interdisciplinary collaboration in the management of patients’ plan of care and goals from admission to discharge to ensure safe transitioning and continuum of care.
Qualifications
  • Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license is required.
  • Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS/CPR certification is required.
  • BSN preferred; must obtain within 3 years.
  • 2‑3 years of labor and delivery RN experience strongly preferred.
  • 2‑3 years of mother‑baby/nursery/SCN experience preferred.
  • NRP preferred.
  • ACLS preferred.

The ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs, a strong sense of accountability for improving the lives of our patients and their caregivers, an exceptional focus on teamwork, dedication to ongoing education, and a passion for delivering the highest quality of care based on a strong patient focus are all required.

Compensation and Benefits

HMH is committed to pay equity and transparency. The posted rate of pay is a reasonable good faith estimate of the minimum base pay for this role at the time of posting in accordance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Act. The base compensation determined at the time of the offer may differ and is based on non‑discriminatory factors such as labor market data, experience, education and certifications, skills, geographic location, internal equity, budget and grant funding.

Some jobs may also be eligible for performance‑based incentives, bonuses, or commissions not reflected in the starting rate. Certain positions may also be eligible for shift differentials for work performed on evening, night, or weekend shifts.

In addition to our compensation for full‑time and part‑time (20+ hours/week) job positions, HMH offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and retirement benefits. Minimum rate of $46.25 hourly.
