Payroll Data Analyst

Chesapeake Search Partners is partnering with a multi-entity building services organization in search of a detail-oriented and systems-minded Payroll Data Analyst to serve as the primary liaison between Payroll/HR systems and Accounting. This role will own the integrity, reconciliation, and accuracy of payroll data flowing from Dayforce into the general ledger across multiple operating companies.

• Performs audits of payroll data to verify the accuracy of payroll and systems to ensure costs are posted to the appropriate payroll codes with the ERP system.
• Collaborates with payroll team to ensure proper accounting and reconciliation of payroll data.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies between data files and the payroll registers.
• Obtain/enter appropriate information in the ERP system and manipulate various Excel spreadsheets.
• Collaborate with the payroll and ERP departments to resolve payroll data discrepancies.
• Develop a proven workflow process to ensure timely import of payroll data into the ERP system.

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
• Strong understanding of accounting workflow in ERP systems
• Strong understanding of payroll account transactions
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to examine payroll data and implement necessary corrections.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for maintaining accurate data and documentation.
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, basic data cleanup and analysis)
