Are you a detail-oriented accounting professional with experience in project-based environments? Our client, a growing construction firm, is seeking an Accounting Manager to support project financials, job costing, and overall accounting operations.

Salary: $90,000 - $100,000

Accounting Manager Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, etc. preferred.
  • Experience in construction accounting, project accounting, or cost accounting preferred.
  • Strong understanding of job costing, WIP schedules, change orders, and construction billing.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a collaborative environment.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.

Accounting Manager Responsibilities:

  • Manage project costing, including budget tracking, cost allocation, and variance analysis.
  • Support monthly close activities and prepare accurate financial reports for active and completed projects.
  • Review and process job cost entries, subcontractor invoices, change orders, and billing documentation.
  • Partner with project managers to maintain up-to-date financial forecasts and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Reconcile accounts, maintain audit-ready records, and ensure compliance with internal policies.
  • Assist with process improvements as the company continues to scale.
