SUMMARY OF POSITION

Kinsley is seeking experienced foremen to join our growing civil site crews in Hagerstown, MD. The ideal candidates will be motivated leaders with a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a positive attitude. Project areas for this position are in the Hagerstown, Frederick, Winchester, and surrounding areas.

Please note that this position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with Kinsley Construction policies and procedures.

TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Lead, manage, and effectively motivate crews of 5 to 10 team members.
  • Plan and coordinate manpower, tools, materials, and equipment for project completion.
  • Successfully manage and schedule subcontractors.
  • Interpret blueprints, project plans, and specifications to ensure accurate execution.
  • Oversee and maintain the production process to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
  • Complete and maintain daily timesheets and job logs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures and enforce best practices on site.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum 5 years of field leadership experience.
  • Proficiency in GPS systems.
  • Strong knowledge of safety protocols and the ability to enforce them.
  • Ability to work in a crew‑based, fast‑paced environment.
  • Punctual, dependable, and capable of handling manual labor for extended periods, including work in unfavorable weather conditions.
  • Physically capable of performing climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, and material handling tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player.
  • Must pass a DOT pre‑employment physical and drug/alcohol screening.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
