Construction Material Field Technician

• Field observations at jobsites in the region.
• Sampling and testing of construction materials.
• Preparing accurate daily logs that outline inspections and results of tests performed on construction materials such as soil, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel.
• Daily communication with project managers or operations managers regarding project progress and contractor communications.

• Reliable vehicle for field work, valid driver's license, and satisfactory driving record.
• Pre-employment criteria met.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 60-80 pounds (soil and concrete samples, nuclear gauges, other equipment).
• Ability to work in all outdoor climates and move over various terrain.
• Attention to detail and quality, while adhering to all safety requirements.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills required.
• Use of company-provided tablet and working knowledge of MS Office programs.
• Ability to perform basic math and use measurement tools.
• With training, ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Hiring preference given to technicians with certifications such as ACI, NICET, WACEL, etc.
