Kinsley is seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Foreman/Superintendent to join our growing Building team in Hagerstown, MD. As a general contractor, the Foreman/Superintendent is responsible for directing and coordinating activity associated with the construction of the project in accordance with established schedules, budgets, plans, specifications and procedures. A successful candidate will lead by example, motivate crew members and efficiently manage the job.
Typical Responsibilities/Essential Functions
- Effectively lead and manage Kinsley's self-perform crews through a hands-on approach.
- Successfully manage and schedule subcontractors
- Interpret blueprints, project plans, and specifications
- Plan, schedule and utilize necessary manpower, tools, materials and equipment needed to complete the job
- Receive material deliveries and maintain on-site inventory
- Responsible for completing daily time sheets and maintaining daily logs
- Use tools and operate equipment in compliance with Kinsley's safety policies and procedures when necessary
- Comprehend and follow blueprints and specifications to meet needs of the project.
- Perform other related duties as necessary.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of field leadership experience
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of all aspects of building construction
- Perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms, legs and moving whole body such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping and handling of materials.
- Ability to read and follow construction site drawings, blueprints, diagrams and specifications is preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required
- Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test and a DOT physical.
