Form Carpenter
This role focuses on form carpentry and concrete work for a new hotel construction project in Hagerstown, MD. You will build and set concrete forms, tie rebar, and support general site preparation to ensure high-quality structural work on a commercial construction site.
Responsibilities- Construct, set, and align concrete forms according to project specifications and drawings.
- Tie rebar accurately and securely to reinforce concrete structures.
- Prepare work areas by raking stones, packing and leveling the ground, and ensuring proper compaction before concrete placement.
- Assist with concrete placement and finishing, including smoothing, leveling, and edging as needed.
- Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently to cut, shape, and assemble formwork materials.
- Perform general labor tasks to support the construction crew, including site cleanup and material handling.
- Measure, mark, and lay out formwork and rebar using good math skills to ensure accuracy and proper alignment.
- Follow all site safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Collaborate with other trades and team members to complete tasks on schedule and meet project deadlines.
- 1–3 years of form carpentry experience in a construction environment.
- 1–3 years of concrete experience, including working with concrete forms and placement.
- Demonstrated experience tying rebar for structural concrete work.
- Proven experience building and installing concrete forms for commercial projects.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Good math skills for measuring, calculating, and laying out formwork and rebar.
- General construction experience and familiarity with commercial construction sites.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and working on your feet for extended periods.
Skills & Qualifications
- Concrete finishing experience, including smoothing and leveling surfaces.
- Broad general labor experience on construction projects.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently as well as part of a team.

WorkEnvironment
This role is based on a commercial construction site for a new hotel in Hagerstown, MD. You will work primarily outdoors and in active construction areas, exposed to varying weather conditions and typical construction-site noise and activity. Standard hours are Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with the expectation of working approximately 10–12 hours per day depending on project needs.
You will regularly use hand tools and power tools, work around concrete equipment, and perform physically demanding tasks on uneven ground and in a fast-paced environment. Appropriate construction attire and personal protective equipment are required at all times to comply with site safety standards.
This is a Contract position based out of Hagerstown, MD.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
