General Description Of Position

As a Customer Service Representative, you’ll support Lightning Transportation by coordinating orders, tracking shipments, resolving issues, and maintaining strong customer relationships for timely delivery.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Accurately enter customer orders and shipment details into Truckmate, monitor progress for timely delivery, and prepare up‑to‑date documentation including bills of lading, shipping confirmations, and customs forms.
  • Coordinate with port personnel, operations, and websites to track shipments while collaborating with internal staff, brokers, and customers on accounts and shipments.
  • Act as the main contact for customers on order status and shipment tracking, promptly resolving any delivery or service issues.
  • Implement EOS within your position to enhance your skills and productivity while continually promoting the company’s core values.
  • Perform other assigned duties as needed, while taking initiative, prioritizing tasks, learning quickly, and owning projects in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.

To Be Successful, You Should Have
  • Two years of intermodal customer service experience and Truck Mate knowledge are preferred but not required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
Physical Demands
  • Lifting, pushing, pulling less than 25 lbs.
  • Office setting with temperature‑controlled offices with moderate noise levels.
  • Outside work limited.
