Bassett Healthcare Network,a progressive, academic health system in central New York and major teaching affiliate of Columbia University is seeking a full-time BC/BE Nephrologist.Visa Sponsorship Available.

Bassett Healthcare Network is an integrated health care system that provides care and services to people living in an eight-county region covering 5,600 square miles in Central New York. The organization includes five corporately affiliated hospitals, as well as skilled nursing facilities, community and school-based health centers, and health partners in related fields. More than 400 full-time salaried physicians and advanced practice clinicians who focus on patient centered care.

Job Description & Responsibilities

• Join an established group of 4 Nephrologists and 2 Nurse Practitioners
• 26 weeks of Nephrology call per year
• Consult service only; all patient admissions are through the hospitalist and surgical teams
• Typically, 2-5 new consults per day with an average of 12-17 total patient touches per day
• Provide CRRT support to critically ill patients
• Peritoneal dialysis & hemodialysis to inpatients
• Can perform kidney biopsies if desired, Interventional Radiology available
• Dialysis units are owned and operated by Bassett Healthcare Network
• Support from all medical and surgical subspecialties
• Potential for faculty appointment from Columbia
• Daily interaction with medical students as well as Internal Medicine and Transitional residents.
• EMR-EPIC/INFIAN
• Salary Range: $290,000 - $340,000 This compensation range represents Bassett Healthcare’s good faith belief of the compensation range at the time of this posting or advertisement. Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards
• Sign-on Bonus up to $100,000

Job Qualifications

• MD, DO or MBBS
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Nephrology & Hypertension
• New York State Licensure
• BLS/ACLS/PALS Certification Required
• DEA Required
