Physician, Medical Doctor, Healthcare Consultant

Overview

Physician role responsible for promoting, maintaining, or restoring health through study, diagnosis, and treatment of disease, injury, and other physical and mental impairments. Salary begins at $+ per year depending on experience based on a 1.0 FTE. Providers focus on prevention, patient history, examinations, prescribing medications, and ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic tests and procedures. This role involves collaborating with a medical team to promote health and wellness and to provide high quality medical care.

• Conduct routine check-ups to assess health and identify potential issues.
• Advise patients on healthy habits and preventive actions (diet, hygiene, etc.).
• Examine ill patients, evaluate symptoms, and determine conditions; reach informed diagnoses based on scientific knowledge and patient history.
• Prescribe and interpret lab tests to obtain information about infections or abnormalities; prescribe medications with clear administration instructions.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests and procedures; interpret results to guide treatment.
• Promote preventive healthcare and collaborate with other physicians, physician assistants, and nurses to form a high-performing medical team.
• Treat injuries and refer patients to other specialists as needed (e.g., ophthalmology, orthopedics, neurology).
• Maintain records of diagnoses, operations, and other significant information; uphold a climate of trust and compassion for patients.
• Stay up-to-date with developments and best practices by attending conferences and seminars.
• Plan and administer therapeutic treatment by telehealth methods as indicated by patient needs and state guidelines; maintain appropriate PPE and infection control protocols.

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
• Current, valid, and unrestricted license to practice medicine.

• Knowledge of Electronic Health Record software and word processing software.
