Overview
Physician role responsible for promoting, maintaining, or restoring health through study, diagnosis, and treatment of disease, injury, and other physical and mental impairments. Salary begins at $+ per year depending on experience based on a 1.0 FTE. Providers focus on prevention, patient history, examinations, prescribing medications, and ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic tests and procedures. This role involves collaborating with a medical team to promote health and wellness and to provide high quality medical care.
Responsibilities- Conduct routine check-ups to assess health and identify potential issues.
- Advise patients on healthy habits and preventive actions (diet, hygiene, etc.).
- Examine ill patients, evaluate symptoms, and determine conditions; reach informed diagnoses based on scientific knowledge and patient history.
- Prescribe and interpret lab tests to obtain information about infections or abnormalities; prescribe medications with clear administration instructions.
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests and procedures; interpret results to guide treatment.
- Promote preventive healthcare and collaborate with other physicians, physician assistants, and nurses to form a high-performing medical team.
- Treat injuries and refer patients to other specialists as needed (e.g., ophthalmology, orthopedics, neurology).
- Maintain records of diagnoses, operations, and other significant information; uphold a climate of trust and compassion for patients.
- Stay up-to-date with developments and best practices by attending conferences and seminars.
- Plan and administer therapeutic treatment by telehealth methods as indicated by patient needs and state guidelines; maintain appropriate PPE and infection control protocols.
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
- Current, valid, and unrestricted license to practice medicine.
- Knowledge of Electronic Health Record software and word processing software.
