- Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Premier Pro.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including empathy, teamwork, conflict resolution, critical thinking, and emotional control; maintain organization and punctuality.
- Knowledge of fundamental principles of mass communications, mass media, production, programming, editing and employability skill development.
- Teach students the fundamentals of Audio-Visual Communication, including the applications and techniques commonly used in the industry.
- Instruct students using effective instructional strategies such as research projects, group discussions, cooperative learning, and project and problem-based learning.
- Examine careers in Audio, Video, Technology and Film and effectively guide students through industry career exploration.
- Make industry connections to facilitate real-world experiences for students, such as classroom guest speakers, job shadows, service learning, work-based learning and apprenticeship.
- Administer assessments to monitor students' comprehension of content.
- Enhance course content through remediation, modification, and enrichment.
- Engage in extended periods of sitting or standing. Move comfortably throughout the building and grounds to fulfill various responsibilities.
- Utilize sensory skills to communicate and interact effectively, including seeing, reading, hearing, and talking.
- Maintain emotional control and composure under stress.
- Travel district-wide, as needed, to participate in professional learning and other activities.
- Maintain regular, punctual attendance and work extended or irregular hours when necessary.
Teacher performance is evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the Board's policy on evaluation of professional personnel.
